Teaching Expertise

John F. Williams teachingI never saw myself as a teacher but I guess other people did. I was asked by our local association to teach professional ethics to new agents. I agreed on one condition. That I could team teach with a friend. That was the only way I was ever going to be able to teach ethics for 3 hours to people who really didn’t want to be there. (It is a required course) Well, to make a long story short, my friend decided after teaching a few times that he did not want to teach any more. I didn’t want to leave the association in a bind, so I continued to teach. And do you know what? I did OK! In fact, I have developed my own way of teaching that people really seem to like.

I now realize, as I look back, that I have been teaching ever since I opened my first real estate brokerage in 1986. I know for sure there are a few agents in the business that my training has helped along the way. With that in mind, I have decided that teaching both real estate and emarketing and sometimes a little of both, are a natural for me.

Here’s what I have done in the past….

  • Successfully trained thousands of real estate professionals (over the past 6 years) the REALTOR Code of Ethics and how applying the Code of Ethics to their business practices helps them excelerate their careers
  • Successfully trained, mentored, and coached numerous real estate professionals on systems and procedures to improve their businesses. Many of these professionals have gone on to become very successful
  • Developed offline and online training materials
  • Developed technology forums and seminars for the purpose of teaching emarketing related topics

Training now and in the future….

  • For REALTORS needing ethics training. I will continue to train new and existing agent the Code of Ethics for our local association as needed. I believe professionalism is critical to success in our industry.
