I first started marketing on the Internet in the 1998. At first I was just looking for a way to set my real estate sales business apart from my competition. So I got my first website for my real estate team. However, it didn’t take me too long to realize that the Internet could become the “great equalizer” for the ‘small business guy” like me.  Back then, small businesses and professionals were at the mercy of traditional media such as newspapers, radio, and television. There was no way we could compete with the “big guys” for advertising space. So along comes the Internet and everything has changed. Traditional media is stuggling to remain relevant and small guys like me can compete with big companies.

So, what is emarketing? I use to think it was building a website and putting it on the web.  I had a lot to learn. Internet Marketing (aka emarketing) is defined on Wikipedia like this “Internet marketing, also referred to as web marketing, online marketing, or eMarketing, is the marketing of products or services over the Internet.”

Since my big “aha” moment where the light bulb went on, I have worked to become exceptional in emarketing in order to help my business. As a result of my efforts, I have created several Internet based businesses that in turn are helping others.

  • Successfully designed and implemented Content Management Systems (CMS) websites for organizations and businesses
  • Researched and implemented successful search engine marketing strategies for businesses.
  • Created and implemented online lead generation campaigns for various industries
  • Succesfully bought and sold “A List” domain names
  • Created and implemented viral direct response marketing campaigns for profit and non-profit organizations
  • Created and developed permission-based marketing campaigns for new business development
  • Created and implemented targeted marketing strategies for various businesses and industries
  • Developed online branding campaigns to create “top of mind” consumer awareness for businesses and professionals

Today….

I am a Certified eMarketer (CeM) through the eMarketing Association. I am using my emarketing skills in a number of ways to help myself and others.
